Gangster Part Two...

Today was the day! Tina and I went for a ride in her friends 1935 Plymouth after work today. What very sweet ride. The engine in this car really has some power and with the rumble when idling... well, Al Capone didn't have it any better! Tina picked me up after work and we headed to her friend's house. She lives about 30 minutes from our house in a restored barn... a barn you say!!! Yes, a barn. You walk inside to a breeze way and turn right to go into the house or left to the garage. Inside is absolutely beautiful. The walls in the living room and loft bed room are dark large timber, on the ceiling as well. One of the original beams was used when they hung the deers or cows on it to skin them back in the day. The kitchen area is sheet rocked and everything is very open. If you ever saw the Johnny Depp movie The Secret Window, the house he had on the lake is similar to Tina's friends. We left and went for a ride to Laconia for some pizza. I sat in the front seat going to Laconia and in the spacious back seat on the way back. It was so much fun. I can fully understand how many people just love the old cars. They had personality. Today's cars are cookie cutter crap for the most part. Just about any car or truck before the 70's said something about the person who drove them. Just something special about those old classics.

In honor of my ride in a gangster car, I have a video of ZZ Top, Sharp Dressed Man from the Eliminator CD. I believe the car in this video is from the 40's. Cool song and a great looking car... enjoy the video!
