The Haunting in Connecticut (2009)...

This movie looks so creepy. I love "Haunted House" movies! It says it's based on a true story which adds to the thrill of it all for me. If you click on the title of this post it will link you up to Bloody-Disgusting.com for more on this movie. Here's what the movie is about according to BD.com...

SYNOPSIS

In the tradition of such real-life horror movies as 'The Exorcist' and 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT tells the astounding true story of one family's supernatural ordeal. When Sara and Peter Campbell's son Matt is diagnosed with cancer, they uproot their family to Connecticut for his treatment. As the family settles into their new home, Matt grows increasingly disturbed by paranormal activity that seems to inhabit and possess the house. At a loss to help her frightened family, his mother turns to an enigmatic priest who appears to rid the house of its ghosts-- until the boy's condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.

The trailer to this movie is intense and I'm very interested in seeing this movie. There have been many haunted house movies that I have enjoyed. A few of my favorites: Amityville Horror (1979), The Haunting (1999)(Great movie with Liam Nesson and Owen Wilson!), House on Haunted Hill (1999) ( Remake of an old Vincent Price movie... BOTH are worth watching!), The Others (2001) (For a PG-13 horror movie, pretty good!), Poltergeist (1982) (Classic in very way!), What Lies Beneath (2000) (One of the very few Harrison Ford "horror" movies),and finally, Thir13en Ghosts(2001) (This movie is down right scary! I really love this one... If you've never seen this one, you really should... it will creep you out.) Check out the trailer to the movie The Haunting In Connecticut below and rent some haunted house movies for Halloween!!! I would be amiss if I didn't mention the best haunted house movie of all time... The Shining (1980). Jack Nicholson is awesome! I've written a few post about this one and it is a must see.
