This is the third year for the After Dark, 8 Films to Die For. I have seen several trailers from this years crop and they look very interesting. I have seen many from the first two years and some of my favorites have been Wicked Little Things, Unrest, The Gravedancers, The Abandoned , Borderland, and my favorite was The Deaths of Ian Stone
Ian Stone is trapped in a constant cycle of dying every night, only to wake up with a different life. I really liked this movie and so far it has been the best of the lot. I generally have lower expectations for these movies, but not nearly as low as The Masters of Horror series on Showtime. The movie Slaughter, looks very creepy... the trailer below has a sense of a "torture" horror film, but it looks a little more involved than just a pure gore flick. It looks pretty good. A list of the all 8 movies is below as well as a link to the After Dark web page. Check it out. It gives you all the info of every movie and many of the trailers. I look forward to them coming out on DVD, but first they hit theaters January 9-15, 2009.
