Memorial Day Horror Movie...

In honor of the many lives that have been lost to war, we honor those who have given their lives for our freedoms this Memorial Day weekend. I found a really good horror war movie that I've seen and really liked called Deathwatch. English soldiers "capture" a German trench and things just go completely wrong because of an evil force hidden in the trench. Maddness and death await those in the trench. Good movie and well worth a watch. I have the trailer for this movie at the end of this post. Just an observation, when I was younger it seened we honored our war heros much more than we do now. WWII vets were about the last group to "enjoy" the admoration of our nation. It seems to me that after that, we as a nation didn't consider the efforts of Korean, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and the like to be worthy of our honor... I speak of our vets. Maybe because those wars/conflicts were not popular, I don't know the reason. I for one may not always agree with our leaders decisions, but the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect this nation deserve our praise and honor. To those brave ones, living and dead, I thank you and your familes for your service to this nation. Enjoy your weekend, but DON'T forget what this holiday is all about!

Hey there! This is Creeper from NF. I finally made it to your blog! Looks good, I'll set a bookmark and check in on ya. ;)

BTW, I am ex-military myself and I frequently loose sight of what this particular holiday is supposed to be about. Usually it's grilled meat and bear. :)

Also, to stay on topic, I did find a good b-horror recently. It's called Abominable and is better than I thought - maybe check it out. Later man.

You know how I feel about our government and the war, however you are absolutely right about the troops. Not everyone in the military agrees with the reasons behind the war either but they sign on to SERVE and PROTECT our country and people need to give them props for that. Good blog!
